RECOGNITION
Dom West is an Australian-based documentary filmmaker and ACS accredited cinematographer. For over a decade his diverse skill set and passion for telling stories about the people and wildlife within the natural world has taken him around the globe to remote locations working on a wide range of projects.
Working as a producer and director of photography at Sydney-based production house Untitled Film Works, Dom has been lead DP and Producer across multiple award winning series such as Tales by Light [Netflix] and Big Cat Tales [Discovery]. In recent years, Dom has worked as a sequence DP across multiple blue chip natural history series such as Netflix’s Our Living World and in production series Our Oceans [2024] and Our Water World [2025] as well as co-producing the highly acclaimed investigative feature doc Trade Secret [2025].
In 2021 Dom’s cinematography was recognised to the highest level by the Australian Cinematographers Society, leading to him becoming an accredited member (ACS) #431.
